I would recommend against mounting it internal. Unless you have the correct mounting set up, you will have a fair amount of noise and vibration. If you want to go internal, bite the bullet for an OEM setup.

You could mount a portable genny in the back of your truck or set it out. Your Champion 3500 will run 1 a/c.

We added 4 6 volt golf cart batteries, a 3000 watt inverter and 550 watts of solar. We also have 2 2000 watt Honda generators that will allow us to run 1 a/c or recharge our battery bank if we have a lot of cloud cover.
