Not 1 time did I state what I done to our truck made it "legally capable" of towing what a 1 ton is GVWR`d for. I made those updates to my TV by my choice, as I didn't like the slight upward tilt of the headlights when towing. IF I wanted a 1 ton dually ,I`d buy it, but its just NOT conducive for the small amount that I tow our camper and the distances we go.
