Proof that the "engineer" has never been in a 5th wheel, let alone use one.

Cannot leave it unlatched going down the road.
Jeff,

I have several years of RVing under my belt and have camped in my current rig for over a year. I do not have an issue with the latch as designed, I like the idea it is hidden and don't have an issue unlocking it when I show up somewhere and not locking it again until leaving. We all have different preferences and ideas.

It is a little unfair to say the engineer that designed it has no hands on experience when you know nothing about him or her and simply don't like the approach taken. Please modify yours if you don't like it, we are free to make our own choices. We all use our rigs differently and what works for one may not work for everyone.
