Emphasis added... maybe not today, but what about in the future? Have you weighed your rig with your current loading? Perhap you might later change the way you use it... more boondocking perhaps, might need solar and batteries with the attendant weight penalty. Not saying 7K is right or wrong, but Mudchief and richfaa make good cases for themselves for 8K. YMMV as they say. You didn't say much about your budget or level of rig usage... the IS is not a cheap upgrade, better value the more you use the rig... if you get my meaning.
