I use the adjustable regulator with gauge and it is plumbed on the inside of my convenience center (SOB MH). I would rather blow out a white hose coming from the CG faucet before it gets to my regulator than have someone steal my $80.00 regulator.

For years I used the $10 or $12 simple regulator in-line at the CG faucet. My pressure just wasn't that great and I suspected getting around 40psi even though they were stamped 40-50psi. When I got the new regulator with gauge we were in a public owned CG in central Illinois. A seasonal camper there told me the pressure was very high. We played around with adjusting the new regulator and found that by 11pm (weekday) the pressure could reach 80psi at the faucet.

My point is you may pull in to a CG and hook up to 50psi water pressure and think you don't need a regulator. Then in the middle of the night that pressure builds to 80psi or above....and....pop goes the.....
