Don't beat me up on the numbers, just a possible scenario.
3100# payload (your#)
-200# you
-150# wife
-200# kids
-50# dog
-250# stuff in truck bed
=2250# left for pin weight
There are also other things that need to be included in the payload weight such as fuel/DEF/ anything added to the truck such as hitches/push bars/bed covers etc.
So using 20% pin weight being normal for 5ers. You can tow around a 11250# camper. I believe most Montanas are way over that #
