My lr slide squealed so bad you could follow the sound across the floor. I took it to be adjusted, and they spent 2 1/2 hours adjusting it. It was quiet for about 2 weeks. It started again, so I dropped the bottom cover on the left side. The slide rails(guides, tubes,or what ever), were dry and had rust on the inside where the 2 slide rails rub together. A neopreme block ,similar to the fw lube plate would really be an improvement there.I took a cheap 1 1/2 inch paint brush, taped it to a broom stick and lubed the inside rail with white lithium grease.I know that the book says not to grease it, but dry metal rubbing dry metal is not good for it either.
