The weight of the high gloss gel coat was a issue a couple of years ago and the reason I did not order it. It was thought that the high gloss added 600lbs to the weight of the unit..That was not true. When I finally found someone at Keystone who actually knew the numbers we found that the high gloss added 150/200lbs to the overall weight depending on the model. The same was true about the weight of the dual pane windows.They also add about 150/200lbs to the overall weight....not 600lbs. The 600lbs number was what the siding weighed with the high gloss.The difference was 150/200lbs. Had we known we would have ordered the high gloss.... At the time I was unwilling to add @ 1200lbs to the weight of the 3400 when in reality the added weight was @ 300/400lbs... You live and learn....
