I built extra shelves for my 2010 Hickory Edition cabinets. I experimented with a few stains on scrap pieces and the closest I could get was MinWax Early American Stain #230 followed by several coats of MinWax Satin Polyurethane. It's not a perfect match. The plywood shelves with their pine half round molding on the front stained differently as did the Red Oak shelves I used in one of the narrower cabinets. It really depends on the wood being stained. The shelves, being inside the cabinets, tolerate in imperfect match, but because they are inside and not the first thing you would see walking in the door, they pass for a fairly close match.

The flash from the camera made it seem lighter on the front edge.
