Vet4jdc: If you're going to check the terminations on the main inlet (female) socket, you'll need to remove it from the exterior wall. However, it's worth noting that before I removed the socket assembly from the back end of my 5er I could see evidence of arcing: brownish discoloration around the bad power prong. It's kind of subtle: any brown discoloration around a prong would be a good reason to remove the socket assembly, take it apart, and check the terminations. Check to make sure the wire insulation (on all 4 of the wires) is not under its respective clamp - the result of having been inserted too far into the clamp assembly. That's what I discovered...
