We replaced all 4 Marathon tires after a 3 year period due to tread separation. We were always fortunate that Good Sam's Rd Service was able to bring an exact duplicate replacement of the GY Marathon because in the long run, Goodyear reimbursed me for all replacements and any repairs to Monty caused by the blowouts. In order to reimburse me though, they needed to have a dealer verify that indeed the cause was tread separation, so I needed to keep the damaged tire. No tire had over 3000 miles, when it blew. I always maintained 80 psi, as I always carried a compressor with me.

I replaced the Marathons with Michelin LT XPS Rib 235/85R16E 3042 Lb rated at 80 psi. We just completed a round trip from FL to MI with no tire issues. The Michelins run much cooler then the Marathons. I now have a great deal of confidence that my tire woes are behind me.
