Why spend good money to buy a 5th 614 to sit under the Monty and deteriorate when the Marathon would suffice as a spare. It's not like your going to use the Marathon for thousands of miles. Size doesn't matter either for a few miles.

Mike, I bought the spare also as I didn't want ANYTHING to do with the Chinese made tires. Out in the boonies, it may be hard to find a replacement, if needed, and to ride on the Chinese tire would make me very apprehensive. I have popped a rock thru a sidewall on a previous tire rendering that tire useless. Happened in Canada....
