Chris and I have been trailhead hosts for the US Forest Service since March of this year. The Forest Service provides a pad and full hookups but it is not a paying position. We are leaving around the middle of October and will not be renewing this opportunity. Nothing bad, but there is very little to do other than check hikers permits or direct them to the board that tell them how to obtain a permit with their smart phone. This is a great hosting opportunity for catching up with your reading; there is no Wi-Fi or television unless you bring a hotspot or have a dish. The Forest Service has posted this hosting position, starting October 15, 2015. If anyone is interested and wants more information, we would be happy to provide it
