Never had a problem with the 04 2500HD GMC squatting with the Mountaineer hitched. IIRC, our pin weight may be a couple hundred less than yours. I think the 3500 should handle that extra weight though. We'll see what the new Chevy does. Doesn't have a hitch in it yet.
