It's kind of disheartening to hear of people having issues with brand new units. This is our 5th RV and none of the ones we have purchased have had an issue off the lot. We did have an Outback 31RQS that had a strip of molding on the front cap that just would not stay in its track. Ended up RTV'ing it. Maybe I am just "lucky"? Knock on wood, rub rabbits foot vigorously, salt over shoulder, etc, etc, etc!!!

I tend to be a bit OCD during inspections. Perhaps that is a small part of it.

I did find out that the fireplace that was installed in my unit from the factory did not work. It was replaced with an inferior model. Didn't know it until we found a remote for a Dimplex Fireplace. Called camping world and their maintenance records said fireplace non-functional, removed and replaced. The one they installed is not Dimplex, nor can it be controlled with a remote.

If I had not found the remote I would not have known otherwise..
