I agree with TennTom, once around Boston, I-95 is fine. It is the Maine turnpike when you get up there and a good route to the coastal points in Maine. Rt. 1 is an excellent alternative, but I've never pulled my Montana up through there, and can't speak for clearances, although I've seen big stuff rolling through there before. It would be my preferred route if do-able.
