If you go to the beach, desert, or anywhere heat and plan on any liquid refreshments at all it pays for itself quickly. At our normal usage, we are in the rig between 1-2 months total time a year, I figured the ice maker paid for itself the first year we got it. We like it so well, we now own two, one for the rig and one for the house. We do have the in-door ice maker on the fridge, but this little thing runs circles around it when it comes to making ice. They will make more than 20# a day if you keep bagging it.
