Sunrisetosunset,
We feel that it is definately worth it - look at our photos, we love ice! We actually store our icemaker in the cabinet under the sink. Plenty of room to push it all the way back and out of the way. When we need to make ice - about every 3 days, we just pull the machine forward (still in the cabinet),plug into a nearby recepticle, raise the lid, add water, and push start. We have the first 12 (or so) cubes, medium size, within 14 minutes and then every 14 minutes there after. We let the machine run about 2 hours, collect the ice in a zip top bag and put it in the freezer. Turn off the machine, unplug it, and slide it to the back of the cabinet until next time. Much more convenient than ice trays and more freezer space which is very imporant to us.
