Not quite, but close. In 2000 we drove from Adelaide, South Australia to Sidney, New South Wales, in a rental car. Wonderful trip.
We deliberately spent one night in a "caravan park" in Mount Gambier where we visited the famous "Blue Lake" and the sunken gardens.
Arrived in Sidney on New Years Eve. My careful driving plan shot to pieces by the closed streets in preparation for the holiday. Arrived, finally, at our quaint little hotel in "The Rocks" a bit "shook up". Saw the world famous fireworks over the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge from our hotel room.
The person under me is planning a visit to the Texas Hill Country in April to see the wildflowers.
