Hang in there guys -- this too will pass. Sounds like you are getting some knowledgeable help. Hopefully it will all boil down to a single wire.
I agree that the wiring in RV's is a real weak point - not just in Montanas - the whole industry needs to hire some decent engineering in this area. There is no excuse for running an unfused wire anywhere much less in an RV.
