A friend came by today and asked me about the FMCA plaque on my ladder and why in the world did we belong. I told him we got kicked out of the fairgrounds in Tucson so they could have all the spots for their convention, but in the process I talked to the folks assigning spots and they talked me into it. As of the first of the year FMCA has accepted towables as members. They have all the benefits of Escapee's and Goodsam plus some more. Since we are life members of Escapee's (our retirement spot requires membership) and Goodsam (basically a mistake when we were brand new full timers and didn't know any better) we didn't need most of the things they offer. The one that got us to join was the FMCAssist which is a part of the membership fee making it cheaper than buying it from Goodsams and others. The Verizon deal is also a good one and tire discounts and others would be useful.
