I noticed the various maximum trailer length in other states the other night too. We've driven thru TX and LA with our 40' 3731FL. We didn't get stopped or asked any questions.

I've done a little poking around different sites this morning and I'm seeing conflicting information across several sites. Thus, I'm at the point where I don't trust any of the sites. I agree with Ram Mountain in that it would take an attorney to sort thru it all.

I had two different conversations with MS DMV and was told both times that my Class C license was sufficient for any size of recreational vehicle. In other words, exempt from needing a license endorsement or Class A license. It may cost me in the future, but I'm relying on my MS Class C license getting me anywhere I want to go in the US. We'll test that this summer when we get into the New England states. Like DQDick, I don't plan to do anything that would attract any attention to myself.
