Today diesel fuel prices hit $1.80 in our area. You have to hunt for lower prices but it is pretty much in the 1.70's at some stations. If you remember back a few years when the Fed goverment put a 25 cent tax on diesel fuel nation wide. When the truckers raised so much stink they finally took it off. Florida thought the tax was great so they just changed it to a State tax. That is why our diesel fuel is always high.
