When we started traveling in early 2003, diesel was cheaper than unleaded. Before long, that reversed and diesel was a nickel more per gallon than unleaded. Then it went to a 20 cent differential. Here in this vally diesel is now 76 cents more than unleaded. Why?
While doing a scenic drive up in the mountains yesterday we saw diesel for 3.899 and turned around and stopped to fill the tank even though we had better than half a tank remaining. The reason? Diesel in this valley is 4.059 at the "cheap" station.
