We watched a guy next to us once set up a screened gazebo-like tent structure over a picnic table - gave him a nice area away from the bugs. There may be rules about how long something (carpet, etc)might be in place - kills the grass, you know. Are you responsible for mowing? Someone on here (I think) sets up plastic flamingos and a grass bar and/or grass umbrella ala Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville..
