I'm sure there are products that will do the job, but I've never used any type of cleaner on my AC coils. I've only used a garden hose with a sprayer and sprayed them, getting rid of bugs that got trapped in them, and sometimes a leaf or two that's deteriorated.

I do the same thing with my automobile radiators, spray them down with a garden hose sprayer. More is not needed in my opinion.

If you have ever watched an HVAC service person service the cooling unit at your home, all they do is spray it with water from a garden hose. That's it. At most, they'll use a tool to straighten out bent up fin.
