Two schools of thought.... 6v golf cart batteries definitely have more storage capacity than the deep cycle 12v type. I do a fair amount of dry camping and switched to the 6v, 2 in series. However, this year I switched back to the 12v. I was in the boondocks and had one of my 6v go bad with a bad cell. I was stuck. I had to remove the battery from my truck to get the slides back in. Had I been running the 12v and had a bad cell, I could just take the bad battery out and still have one 12v battery to keep things running.
