KOA or Most Private parks are more pricey than State Parks.
State Parks are usually located away from the Interstate HWY.
In Texas I stay at Lake Ray Roberts State Park for $20. I have a park pass that allows me and anyone in my car admission. Camp-sites are Electric and Water only. Unless I stay more than 3-4 days my holding tanks will suffice. The Campgrounds have great bath and shower facilities. No BlackTop campgrounds. Trees all around.
