Gary Wheeler from
MOR/ryde has graciously offered to conduct tours at 2 of MOR/ryde's factories - Cooper St. & Grant St. They did this about 5 years ago, & was a big hit. LOTS of interesting stuff to see, INCLUDING how your pin boxes are fabricated.
The tours will be conducted on
Tuesday, 10/1, at 10:00am and 11:00am, and split into 2 groups. Each group will tour one of the plants at 10:00am, then switch and tour the other plant at 11:00am. That way, everyone gets to see BOTH plants.
If you are interested, please put you name on the signup sheets in the main tent by
NOON on Monday. I'm not going to post it here because I don't have the time to monitor it. Gary needs this info to setup the tours properly. Driving directions are also in the main tent, next to the signup sheet. Plan on leaving the fairgrounds no later than 9:30am to be there at 10:00am, and
PLEASE CARPOOL if at all possible. It is about 14 mi. to either plant.
Also, please note that
NO OPEN-TOED SHOES are allowed in the plants!!! You will
NOT be allowed on the plant floor if you are wearing them. MOR/ryde will supply safety glasses for everyone. Also, if you have a
PACEMAKER, please let them know upon entering!!! Laser cutters
WILL interfere with the operation of your pacemaker...
