At Moab, we stayed at Moab Valley RV Park. It was gated. At Durango, we stayed at Durango Riverside RV Park which is north of town - about 10 minutes drive. Our site (#17 I think) backed up to the Animas River. It was nice to sit outside by the river - very peaceful. Oasis RV Park on the west side of Amarillo was a great over nighter place. All sites were level concrete. Close to the interstate but wasn't too noisy. No trees but very easy in/out. We would certainly stay at all these places again.
