You should have breaker in your A/C box marked converter. You can turn that off and reduce the draw on your a/c voltage but all your 12 volt stuff will be running off the battery. Even if you don't run lights the propane detector, frig control board, water heater control board, and I'm sure a few other things will eventually drain the battery. I don't think you need a 50 amp cord to use your RV around the house unless you are running two air conditioners. I would, and have at my own house, installed a 30 amp circuit and receptacle so I only use one adapter. Gives me plenty of power for everything except the second air conditioner. Hope this helps, Jim
