If the new Ford has even higher bed walls than a 2015 then all the more reason to install the hitch at max height. This will guarantee the maximum bed rail clearance and you won't have to futz with it to gain clearance. The RV may run a bit nose high but shouldn't be a problem getting it home. There you can fine tune the hitch height and the pin box height to level the RV with a comfortable 6+" of bed clearance. I really think that 2" spacer difference will make everything copacetic.
