I consider myself a reasonably skilled driver but I am very quick to adjust my driving to the circumstances. If I am driving a Corvette, I have no problem at all whipping off the highway and down the town streets maybe even bumping the throttle and smoking the tires just for fun. When I am driving something that is nearly as big as an 18 wheeler I tend to drive like.....well a truck driver. There is a very good reason why you don't often see 18 wheelers pulling into a 7-11 for fuel. Since I respect truck drivers and consider most to be professionals, I'll follow their lead.........the rest of you can drive your RV rigs like Corvettes if ya want too. But don't be surprised when the actual Corvette drivers are a little irritated with you when you get in the way at the 7-11. Especially if your impeding traffic just to save a nickel.
