Sorry to hear about your expensive repair. We too had the same thing done but we have the Ford ESP extended warranty. So everything should be alright? Not so. Ford specifies that everything cannot show any signs of rust. Shouldn't the water separator take that out? Not so says Ford. Anyhow, after two weeks of Ford scrutinizing every part three times and arguing with the dealer they finally relented and covered the repair. We had no rust in the system. Ford has a serious problem with the fuel systems and don't want to fix them. And their customer service is terrible.
