I have a friend who has a new Montana that he pulls with a somewhat less new F-250 with the 6 litre diesel. On his maiden voyage, the truck broke down with copious black smoke and loss of power that was initially diagnosed as a "blown turbo".

The truck got towed back to the dealer, and no doubt will be fixed under warranty, but I have this feeling that there is some history of this kind of failure with early production models of this truck. Does anyone remember anything along these lines?
