It's not just that model or year. I had to use a step stool to reach mine and I'm 6'2" with (in the opinion of one of my college coaches) arms like a monkey. I don't have to worry anymore since the AZ and KS sun have warped the door to the point where it won't latch anymore. The microwave has it's own flap right behind it so I'll just wait till it falls off and then replace it with a doorless model as Glenn did.
