I a transfer tank before my trip to Alaska last year. The short bed F350 has only 26 gallons of capacity. I did use it a few times, but actually, I could have easily got along without it. It felt good having the capacity there, though. My preference for the transfer tank allows it to be easily removed after it is emptied. My bed has very little room anyway, and for normal use, I wouldn't want it there. I just held it in place with a couple of straps.
