Dave, When we are hooked up to a sewer in the campground, we leave the galley and tub gray tank valves open. We make a point to not intentionally put any food scraps down the kitchen sink - of course some gets in there doing dishes. Before we get ready to dump the black water, we close both gray's to collect enough water to rinse them out and to flush the drain after dumping the black tank.
