I thought I had a clever idea for an addition to my 2955rl.

It was to add transparent 6 to 8 mil transparent vinyl roll in the screen track of my screen door to give a much improved view and wind protection and then to add the ODL Brisa retractable single screen door kit to the interior frame to give insect protection in hot weather.

Seems like a good idea: better light, view, and insect protection
However, the 2955RL has a so called “sucide step” on the interior which might give trouble at the bottom part of the door.

The ODL retractable door needs a little room right down to the floor on the doorway hinge side and it looks like the box for the interior step leaves little room. (Unfortunately, my rv is stored for the winter a few hundred miles away and isn’t accessible right now to take pics and accurate measurements.)

Have any MOC members out there done similar additions or have suggestions on using some other type of retractable screen that’ll do the job.
