If you've eliminated the brake being the issue, jack it up, remove the tires, remove the bolts on the end of the wheel hub and the axle will slide right out. You can rent or buy the special hub nut tool from an autoparts store. Once the caliper is out of the way, the rear bearings come out very similar to your bearings on the fiver. If they are all burnt up, replace parts as needed, you should change out the differential oil as well ... synthetic or semi-synthetic would be a good choice. If the end of the spindle is really blue ... ask a local mechanic for direction. Why this guy let this go for a couple of months .... is absolutely baffling ???????
