Can I run the larger 15amp unit on the typical 110volt outlet?
Depends on the current draw of the AC unit. Don't be surprised if 15AMP is not enough.
What is the difference between "heat strips" and heat pump?
Heat strip is just a big ole resistor that gets hot, like in a space heater.
Heat pump basically runs the AC backwards. For a 3rd AC I would not bother with either.
