Can the sides be taken off without removing the bottom trim piece? I don't think I better try to remove the bottom because of the bad wood that is still under there I'm afraid I might not get the bottom screws back in solidly. The bottom piece seems tight and sealed. What would be the procedure, remove the sides, clean them up and then run a bead of silicone on the edge and mush the trim piece onto the fiberglass wall? (mush?)
