We (DW) and I just purchased a 2019 3120RL in May (ordered) and had the carpet roll up feature installed. It’s wonderful, one of the better features offered... Yep, ours does the same thing, a uniqueness to the Monty. We hold the carpet up and lay it against the island. I suppose after a few years, the carpet will soften enough that it will not be an issue, or my CDO (because OCD is not in the right order), I’ll mod the carpet...
