Does anyone have an idea about what is happening with my fresh water that causes it to be black when I hook up to city water or when we dispense water from our fresh water tank? Every time when we are finished camping, I remove the water heater anode rod and drain the water from the hot water tank and also drain the fresh water tank. When we get home, I spray fresh water into the water heater tank to remove any debris. I leave the rod out until the next trip then screw it back in the tank, open the pressure release valve on the water heater, hookup the fresh water hose along with a brand new water filter and pressure reducer. While filling the hot water tank, I turn on the shower and sink faucets. As soon as I turn on the faucets black water comes out for about 15 seconds, then it turns clear. Any idea why this is happening and how do I fix it?
