Sorry to hear the bad news. With a SB don't you have a sliding hitch? The next time you get hitched up to the Monte you should go to a big parking lot and see how tight a turn you can make w/o hitting your TV. Then try it with your slide extended if you have one.
On the bright side neither you nor anyone else was hurt. You can always fix the Monte or TV.
Don't feel to bad, you are not alone. I backed into my garage roof overhang. Need a little end cap repair someday.
