Thanks for all the replies. I think I've narrowed it down to the few trees adjacent to the campsite. Apparently when the wind blows just right or the leaves are wet with dew or it's Tuesday there's enough interference to cause a loss of signal.

The satellite system is new (less then 1 year) and I'm still learning it's limitations. Didn't realize that these things were so sensitive to signal loss. Guess that's the price of Dr Who in HD while boondocking.
