If, as Dick wrote, the saddle that holds the steps is still there but covered by J wrap, then there is another alternative. The Torklift Glowstep has height adjustment up the wazoo. The top of the steps have three settings (about an inch each), and the bottom step has five 1" individually justifiable legs. Plus they won't extend out into your neighbor at a storage lot. They are solid as a rack when extended.

Who knows, they may now have replacements for your exisitng steps. Check their web site or even give them a call to see what all they have.

There are several of us here who them. It is the best thing I ever did to improve the Montana.
