we have used our remote for awning front/rear stabilizers and slides, we have used it inside and outside, i usually am inside with the remote watching everything right there and the dw is outside watching to see if anything is close to hitting, works well for us, plus inside with the remote i can move around by each slide and watch instead of at the control panel.
