I think it's rude for anyone to bother you when you are trying to work and you didn't ask for their help. So you aren't rude, they are, how about that? I have been known to explain nicely, that I'm concentrating and busy and learning and I'll be glad to visit when I'm done but for now LEAVE US ALONE. I do try and explain things nicely and they typically get the message. Otherwise if they think YOU are rude, then you won't need those kinds of acquaintances or deserve to be rude in return.
