The Laramie Longhorn is a beauty. The 3500 for 2013 had a high output 385 hp with 850 lb-ft torque. It also has a Aisin 6 speed transmission. This trans has been used for years in 4500, 5500 and 6500 trucks. It is easly as good as an Allison. In the middle of the 2013 Ram 2500-3500 broshure is a picture of a 3500 Laramie Longhorn pulling a MONTANA. I havn't made up my mind to buy a 2014 Laramie Longhorn or a F350 King Ranch. Its a tough choice. I am hearing a little rumors about Ram not coming through on warrenties. I am still managing a Aamco Transmission business and talking to parts and seervice people daily.
